Artwork Information
To help us produce the best possible result, please follow the artwork requirements below when supplying logos or designs for embroidery and printing.
Embroidery
New embroidery logos require a one-off £15 + VAT digitising setup fee. Digitising converts your artwork into the specialist stitch file required by our embroidery machines.
If we have embroidered the same logo for you previously, you do not need to pay the digitising fee again. Simply select your existing saved design when placing your order.
We retain your embroidery file for use on future orders, so the digitising fee is only payable when a new logo or design requires digitising.
Printing
Please supply high-resolution artwork on a transparent background wherever possible.
Vector artwork such as PDF, EPS or SVG is preferred. High-resolution PNG files with a transparent background are also suitable for most printed designs.
Artwork should be supplied at the required print size or larger. Enlarging small or low-resolution artwork can result in blurring or pixelation and may affect the finished print quality.
AI-Generated Artwork
AI-generated artwork can be used, but it is important that the finished file is suitable for professional printing.
AI-generated artwork should be:
- Supplied at a minimum resolution of 300 DPI
- Created at the required print size or larger
- Supplied with a transparent background
- Carefully checked before uploading
Please pay particular attention to spelling, text, fine details, edges and small elements. AI-generated images can contain errors or imperfections that may not be immediately obvious on screen.
Simply changing a low-resolution image to 300 DPI does not increase the quality of the original artwork. If an image has been created too small, enlarging it may result in blurring or pixelation.
It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that all supplied artwork is correct and suitable for reproduction. Taunton Workwear cannot accept responsibility for errors, imperfections, blurring or pixelation present in customer-supplied artwork.
If supplied artwork requires editing, redrawing, background removal or other preparation before it is suitable for production, an additional artwork charge may apply. If chargeable artwork work is required, we will contact you before carrying it out.
Colours
Colours displayed on a screen are for guidance only. Different screens, colour settings, materials and production methods can all affect the appearance of colour.
Printed colours and embroidery thread colours may therefore vary from the colours displayed on your device.
